Dark, silent, triangular craft moving across night sky

Went outside at night to walk the dog. Dark, clear, starry night. Looked up and a dark crescent shaped or triangular shape moved across the sky - very low - maybe a hundred yards up. Completely silent with no lights. Looked to be cruising - not zipping. I am an educated, 63 year old retired man.
