A clouded light moving across the night sky.

It was clear sky. I witnessed a light orb about the altitude of a plane moving across the sky. The light source appeared to be obscured be a fog or smoke. It appeared to eject a smoke ring out in front of it. The ring and the orb traveled at the same rate of speed. It appeared to dim after a bit. I lost sight of it due to trees.
