Saw stationary object in the sky potentially over Groton, Ct (navel base)

Looked like the size of a star during the night but during the day, but not a light. Roundish or oblong in shape. In 40 years never saw anything like it. It did not move at all while watching it. looked again a few hours later and it was gone. Potentially over naval base in Groton.
