Round very bright white light that was still in the sky, did no move or make noise, reflected off the river

I was walking the along the Columbia River and viewed a very bright white light stationary in the sky over Portland; it was low & bright enough to reflect off the river. I noticed it for about a half an hour, a mist surrounded it and then it just blended into the mist & disappeared, it was a clear night.
