Green umbrella shaped object coming in from the east and moving directly towards my position.looked like meyeorite except too big and slow.

I was watching the north east sky when I witnessed a bright light coming in from the east...it was umbrella shaped ..and left a long green trail... this course corrected several times before disappearing..in the east sky it was large ..about the size of a nickle at arms length. It was so big and surprising I actually was waiting for an explosion to occur. it was strange in that it had vertical bands of black in the tail....and it was way slower than a normal meteorite.
