boomerang shaped object with 5 greenish lights growing in size and then turned and disappeared

We spotted a tiny boomerang shaped object with five greenish blue lights hovering what looked to be many miles offshore as we looked from Narragansett Beach toward Newport.

The object started to move and accelerate toward us, growing in size (estimated 100 yards wide) until it was almost directly overhead.

Then it pivoted, changed direction back toward the ocean, and accelerated up and out of sight in about 1 to 2 seconds.
