Orange orb in clear sky, moved in strait line and stopped

It was on a sunny clear day, just before an exam of mine,

I looked to the sky and suddenly an orange/yellow round object appeared in the sky, first it moved in a stiat line and looked as it was falling, I thought it was a meteorite but then it suddenly slowed down and nearly stoped, then it disapeared alltogether before reaching the horizon.
