A storm was coming in so the coloring of the sky was beautiful. I was at the front door looking at the sky when I spotted it

There was a very bright cigar shaped object in the sky above the houses. I was facing north. There was a storm coming in. It did not move. I watched for about 4 minutes and it was motionless. Took 3 pics, went to get binocs when I came back it was gone.
