Wading in water saw 3 white lights on a line hovering silently, center one turned orange and hovered, shot up and exited into space.

My friend ws on leave from the airforce and stopped by with his girlfriend. I thought Saugatuck Dunes State park would be nice to show her so we went to the beah and were wadingnin 3-4' of water when we all saw 3 lights appear in the nighttime sky. Was around 11 pm or so. The 2' silent orb lights were in linear formation and up 1/4-1/2 mile up off shore for 30 seconds, when the center light turned orange. They shot up 1-2 mies, hovered for another 45 seconds and exited the atmosphere into space. My friend was aware it wasnt a human craft and was petrified on the brisk walk back through the woods to the car.
