Dot of light high up making 90° and 270° turns, zig zagged across the entire sky. Clear night, no clouds.

Warm summer evening I went outside to look at the stars. Saw one moving in southwest part of sky, moving in northeast direction. It looked small and very high up moving fast, I thought it was a satellite. Just then it made a 90° turn. A few seconds later it made a 270° turn. It did this zig zag all across the sky. Very sharp corner turns, not like a curve an aircraft would make.
