1 circular object, red, yellow, green, blue lights spinning, smaller version moves out, up accelerates abnormal speed out of site!!

I saw a circular object with red, green, yellow, and blue lights, in rectangular shapes going around, sort of like a Ferris Wheel, but extremely larger. Then all at once a smaller version of it moves out, and up to the right of it. So, that blew my thought of carnival ride or Ferris wheel out of the water! I was in the U.S. Navy, and have seen all kinds of aircraft, this smaller version started accelerating at a speed unlike any other aircraft I have ever seen! It continued moving across the night sky at that extraordinary speed, until it kicked in its full power, and disappeared into the deep, dark, depths of what we know as "Outer Space"!
