Large silver disk makes daytime flight over Freeway

This is to corroborate the reports of a large disc shaped object seen over Southeast Michigan in 1983. My family and I were on the southbound Lodge Freeway during the afternoon. As we drove under an overpass, we witnessed a very large disc shaped object. It was silver metallic in color, it had lights on spires underneath. It looked as if the Pontiac Silverdome had taken flight. It passed very slowly over the Lodge Freeway in broad daylight. I was 7 years old at the time, however, there were three adults and 2 older children in the car when this occurred. It moved at a pace that would suggest it was a blimp, but it was clearly not a blimp. To my memory, the 911 lines were jammed with calls
and at least one local news station urged people to stop calling. This incident has been so fastidiously kept out of public record, most sites don't list it. The object moved over the Freeway and we lost sight of it. I noticed that there were other vehicles trailing it. I assumed they were news copters. The trajectory of this object would have possibly headed in the direction of Fairlane Mall in Dearborn which another report has claimed. Many people saw this, but there has never a satisfactory explanation.
