2 craft came head to head, stopped, then turned 90 degrees and went opposite directions

It was before bed, and i was looking out of my bedroom window. I initially saw two lights to the left. They came slowly head to head over my street and stopped. They were completely silent. They then turned 90 degrees opposite ways and then one proceeded to come down the street in my direction. The object was almost directly over my house. Completely silent. I remember seeing a rectangle of dim light that was almost the size of the craft. And the craft itself looked to maybe be rectangle as well. The light was a warm color, like sunlight, with no harsh glare. Almost like I was looking up into a window. I remember wanting to yell out for my brother to come see, but I felt frozen. And was unable to get his attention until after it passed.
