Unusual light glowing brighter and then fading and becoming larger while fading away.

I saw a moving bright light similar to a fan-tail. It grew brighter and then seemed to dim and grow much bigger at the same time until it faded to nothing. I am a sober, early morning dog-walker. I walk the dogs every day and have never seen this before.
