Directly overhead, stationary. reddish-orange slowly pulsating light then moved south very rapidly.

Hello, in 1966 my brother and I both had morning paper routes and lived on the west side of Columbus, Ohio, at the corner of Briggs Road and Wedgewood Drive.

I don’t know the exact time but it was dark outside as we delivered our papers and returned home. I also don’t remember the time of year but it seems to me it was summer.

As we stepped out of the back door of our apartment building, there was an object directly overhead and was stationary. The object made no noise and it was reddish-orange in color. It would vary in light intensity slowly.

I said to my brother, “What’s that?” (more of a statement than a question) and he replied, “I don’t know, the moon I guess.” Well, it wasn’t the moon because the moon was out and high in the sky to the north of us.

The size of this object was large. I will attempt to describe the size as being the size of the moon as it appears at moon rise on the horizon but this was directly overhead.

Anyway, I was just curious as to whether or not you have any other reports from roughly that time frame.
