Close range sighting of two craft hovering next to I55 south of Memphis TN during blizzard

On January 22 I went from my home in Ethel, MS to pick up a friend at the Memphis, TN airport. A blizzard began while I was waiting on his plane which was delayed by several hours. We left town about 12 or 1 am and I drove south on I55 returning to my home in Ethel. Road conditions were very bad, they didn't appear to have been treated at all and there was a build up of snow and ice. There was almost no traffic, unsurprisingly. I believe I saw two or three vehicles on the road for the first couple of hours. This was normally a two hour drive but I had to drive very slowly, about 20 mph due to the blizzard, so it took around three or four.

I had been driving about an hour when I spotted something just off the side of the interstate. I saw the light first, then a shape in the air behind it. Due to the snow I didn't get a clear look until I was quite.close but I did get a good look once we were close to it. It was about the length of a school bus, maybe half again as long.It was wide.on the end pointing away from me tapering down to a point on the end facing me. It was light colored, probably silver but maybe white. It had deep indentations running the length, similar to the ship in flight of the navigator. It was parallel to the road and hovering directly over the power lines, only a few yards above them. There was a white spot light coming out of the front, pointed at the ground. I didn't see anything on that spot on the ground. It did not move at all, it looked.like it had been glued to that spot in the sky, despite the high winds b!owing. I was.in the inside lane, so I was one car lane and the shoulder away from it.

I did not have a cell phone with me, I was between phones at the time, and my friend only had a flip phone. I'm still not sure I would have stopped to take a photo anyway. I was very frightened by what I saw. So my friend and I asked each other if we were seeing the same thing and continued driving south. Roughly two miles down the road we saw another one. Identical to the first in every way, including where it was in the air.

That was all I saw and I have been very disturbed by this every since. My friend died in the fall of that same year following a car accident, and I haven't talked about this to.anyone since.

I was 49 when this happened. I have a masters degree in education, do not drink or do drugs. I would really love to know if anyone else saw this and if there is an explanation.
