2 Orbs that slowly faded

At approximately 7:25 CST, there were 2 very bright objects about 3-5 degrees NE of Mirzam in Canis Major. They were in a straight line from the stars Sirius and Mirzam and were about the brightness of Sirius. They never moved. I observed them for about 30 seconds until they both slowly faded away at the exact same time.
