Upright chrome disk changing positions instantly. Unnatural movement

Appeared to be intentionally following the path of the highway. Sunny out, with a remarkably ominous dark wall of severe weather clouds ahead, the first warmer weather storm I remember seeing this year. Associated high winds had just picked up. At first it looked like I was approaching a traffic helicopter with its front spotlight catching my eye. A few seconds later and that yellow appearing light stopped. I could see the object was clearly chrome and round in appearance. It looked somewhat like a flying turbo charger. Followed the same path south above 128 making instant movements, or changes in orientation, that seemed physically impossible. Another vehicle was pulled over presumably observing the same object. Ive been checking the database to see if anyone had filed a report. Clearest unknown Ive seen personally
