3 orbs moving in unnatural flying patterns

We saw 3 orb likes objects moving in formation constantly changing directions with and against the wind. They would form shapes like trangles with one leaving the formation and coming back to it. We have never seen any thing like it. What we saw was not possible with anything known. The orbs then climbed to an allitude out of eyesight. This was the middle of the day.
