Orange, hovered right over us quietly, disappears in 1 second over the horizon when we looked up at it.

Had my eyes closed because my boyfriend and I were kissing. We opened our eyes because we heard a small rush of air above us, almost like a large bird had flapped its wings once. For a split second, we saw a bright orange disc hovering what seemed like 20 ft above us, that instantly took off so quickly, it disappeared over the horizon in less than a second, without making any sound. It didn’t seem to have an engine noise at all. It also seemed to only be about 20 feet across, though it was hard to tell, since it disappeared so quickly. And I am guessing on the dates, but I think it was the summer of 1976.
