No lights, no noise, but smoothly moving

I was on my roof and saw an airplane, then saw this V shaped object moving much lower but no lights, and no noise. It was moving East to West and then quickly started moving in a Southerly direction and was out of eyesight almost immediately. In the matter of time this object was out of sight the airplane that I had originally seen was only inches in the sky from where I had last seen it.
