Bright Orb appeared, split into 2, one shot off extremely fast, the stationary one faded away.

Driving North on interstate 91 just past the Thetford exit. I witnessed an extremely bright object appear in the sky. The object then split into two separate equally bright objects. One of the two objects shot off across the night sky and was out of sight within half a second. The remaining stationary object faded into the night sky over the course of the next 10 seconds.
