Shape: Cigar
Characteristics: Aura or haze around object

A thin pale yellow glowing line appeared mid-sky and glided in a perfectly straight line due north for about 5 seconds.

Spotted near Frenchtown Historic Site.
Object looked like a pale yellow glowing line travelling perpendicular to its length. It was about 1.5 degrees of arc in length. It appeared to our east about center sky and travelled due north until it was about at 45 degrees from the horizon at which point it suddenly disappeared. I thought it was a meteor at first but meteors are usually a point of light, not a narrow band travelling sideways. Could have been some debris entering the atmosphere but it would have to be huge to look that long. There was no noise. It did not flicker or wave. It was gliding too smoothly to even look real. It did not appear to speed up or slow down. There was no way for us to discern its elevation.
