Disc shaped craft hovering over power station

While driving southbound on Pearl street around midnight I caught an image of what appeared to be a craft hovering over a power station on 26th street. I pulled into a gas station across the street and got out of my car to view it. It was directly across the street from the gas station above the power station and I could see it clearly. It was metallic and disc shaped. I could see the entire craft. It had no lights and made no sounds. After a few minutes the craft silently moved in my direction and then headed east directly above the power lines. It changed course to southbound Pearl Street and slowly headed down the street directly above the road.
I jumped in my car and raced to catch up with it which was pretty easy as it was only flying at around 45 miles an hour. I followed it as it flew maybe 50 feet above my car and 50 feet out in front of it. It changed course by flying eastbound on 11th street which I followed closely. After a short distance it angled upwards and shot up into the sky at an extremely fast speed. Within 1-2 seconds it was out of sight. I reported it to the Tacoma police and the dispatcher said they had several calls and asked if I wouldnt mind talking to an officer which I complied. The officer and his partner met me at a 7-11 oarking lot on Pearl street. Unfortunately they did not take me seriously and pretty much laughed at me. Oh well it was not surprising. I live in a different state now but whenever I visit relatives in Tacoma I visit the spot. The power station as well as the gas station which changed hands are still there.
