Fast, bright, east to west travel and complete stop.

Bright single, oval object appeared from nowhere with a slight mist or vapor which dissipated quickly. Object quickly travelled east to west horizontally. Eye witness says that the object came to a full stop. I was called out to see it, but the object was no longer there just a few seconds later. The sky was clear of clouds. There was no sound.
