A long shape moving horizontally then recessed into the sky while fading out

Friends and I went to The Brewery at Ommegang, I was standing next to friends, and notice just right above the tree line, horizontal lights. I couldn't tell if it was moving or not, I just kept looking at it. I turned to my friend and asked what it was and if it was moving, and she said that she noticed it first above the shed. She turned her back to ask her husband to look at it, while I kept staring at it, and it slowly faded out and almost like it recessed into a cloud, but it is a clear night. The shape looked like if you laid a tennis bracelet flat, it was long and rectangle in shape and moved slowly horizontally, like it was being pulled by a string.
