Initially believed was satellite. It stopped and bright, circular light lit up. It then ascended more and continued heading west.

Outside with my son trying to see planets. We noticed several different satellites and initially believed it was just another satellite. It then stopped and a bright, circular flash took place. It then ascended more and continued heading west. My son said the light looked whitish and I thought there was a light pinkish cast to it.
