looking out of window during lightning storms

I saw the craft extremely close and very clear. Clear enough that if I took a picture serious questions would be asked about the safety of passenger flights. There was no missing time but prior to sighting I questioned how i seemed to sleep but no time had passed. There are also other factors that I can't discuss here.
