Light. Remained in one location, fading in and out. Light. When we first noticed the object in the northwest sky it faded in and out. This occurred numerous times. Although the object seemed to disappear, it returned ~ from a dull white color to a glowing ball of white. Upon using our binoculars, we discovered that the object was not always circular. At times the object glowed red on the top with 'fingers' of green, blue, yellow. It remained in one position for approximately 17 minutes eventually fading from our sight behind a grove of trees.
