I'm a pilot off for a few days, avid star gazer out side talking to my mom and we both see this pulsing reddish blue object at heading 020-035° at bout 60°from horizon. my mother asked me if that was a plane. after about 2 pulses it emits a lightning like attack and knocks something out of the sky. After 3 more pulses it disappears. I looked at my mom and her face was white as a ghost.
