A huge single light quickly came up behind my moving car, then sped straight up in the air.

Though both my sightings are from years ago (which is before all the recognition it is getting currently), I want to be on record on this data-base. I hope this will add more credence to the number of sightings reported, especially since Erich von Daniken’s book “Chariots of the Gods?”, of occurrences that have been surfacing since.

Fall – 1974 This is a period in Southwestern Ontario that had a lot of sightings of ‘lights in the sky’. To add ‘authority’ to the circumstances, it was the first time that I remember when Provincial Police even admitted to sightings – in the local Newspaper! I was driving home from the country around 3 A.M with a friend of mine. I had a convertible so no tricks were played with the glass or mirrors in the car.

My friend was catching a nap when I looked in my rear-view mirror and saw a very strong single headlight behind me. It was above the road so I assumed it was a motorcycle coming down a hill behind me. Still, it looked a little strange so I nudged my friend to have a look. By the time he stirred the giant single light was at the rear of my moving car. It was so bright, it reminded me of the Sun. As I slowed down, we both turned in our seats to look. At that precise moment the light quickly vanished straight up into the sky. Harrier jets were the only air-vehicle to be able to rise horizontally at that time, but not at the speed that this light did. There was NO sound at all from the UFO during this experience so I knew it wasn’t a motorcycle or a helicopter, etc.

Summer – 1995 I was travelling at dusk on a major highway. The sun had not quite gone down. I noticed ahead of me in the sky 3 triangular-shaped air vehicles that were flying in formation. When I looked again, they picked up speed and were gone. I thought of experimental aircraft from the Air force but realized nothing could go that fast.
