Long red fireball propelling into sky, disappeared

I saw a single round orange red light in the sky, approaching me like an airplane, from the north to the south. I loooked away for a moment and when I looked up again, the object had change direction, propelling west to east up in to the sky. I could now see the side angle, which was a long red streak, with flames sparking behind it.

I started to videotape, and then it just disappeared about 2 second into filming.
