Light moving slowly south of Santa Fe with strange haze around it which expanded.

A small light initially about the brightness of Mars or Venus, but as if out of focus which increased in magnitude while slowly moving in our direction approximately south to north. We were in Santa Fe looking south and it appeared the light was just east or NE of Albuquerque and south of Santa Fe.

Then the intensity of the light increased and a haze was illuminated around the light as if something was shining a light inside a cloud or fog bank. The sky was very clear though and stars were visible adjacent to the light and haze so this did not appear to be a cloud being lit up. The light appeared to move east slowly at this point. The size of the haze increased.

I went to get my phone to take video, but when I returned in less than a minute, the illuminated haze was spreading out and the light was fading and appeared to be moving away toward the south. The it was dark where it had been and stars were visible where the illuminated haze had been.
