I was sitting by the window when suddenly there was a bright flash and a loud "BOOM." At first I was afraid NIH had been bombed.

I was sitting by the window, when suddenly there was a bright flash and a loud "BOOM." At first, I was afraid NIH had been bombed (I live in that area) yet when I looked outside my window I wasn't able to see any smoke and I didn't hear any firetrucks or police cars.

This has never occurred before and I am still very curious about what happened. If anyone else heard this "BOOM," please attempt to contact me thank you. :))
