Red lights coming from the north to south, then disapearing as they came over the foothills. 5 separate lights. Would normally be aircraft from McCall, ID, to Boise airport, but lights vanished as they came over foothills. Red lights were not blinking like normal aircraft, but remained constant until disappearing.

NUFORC Note:

Under the Federal Aviation Regulations, an aircraft must display a solid red light on its left (port) wingtip. I also may have strobing, or flashing, red and white lights on other parts of the aircraft's fuselage. PD
