Very fast object changing direction at a sharp angle twice. Object far off in sky traveling very fast suddenly changed direction to straight up for 2-3 seconds then back to horizontal. Change of direction occurred very suddenly and at a 90° angle. Object was too far away to see shape. Dark in color possibly black. I was looking to the east and the object was traveling south. There were other passenger planes in the sky as well and the object was easily traveling 4-5 times as fast.
