During a family campfire my Father noticed 2 bright white lights travelling very slowly across the sky. He had watched the light travel very slowly for about 15 minutes before telling the rest of the family. It had the brightness of a flare but it did not drop lower in the sky as flares do and continued its journey.

The rest of the family all started to watch them (the lights) continue at the same pace. Finally the lights stopped moving and stayed in the same position in the sky for 5 seconds. The top light remained in this position as the lower light moved below the first light and it then split to become 2 separate lights all the same size and brightness to form a triangle position in the sky. Then one by one the light was gone.

We live near an airport and are familiar with planes but this was too low and was not like anything we had ever seen. We did not report it.
