At 9pm, a bright fuzzy purple light in the sky caught my attention. It was flying directly towards me, after about 30 seconds it stopped and hovered.

Then it flew directly sideways towards the east. It stopped again and hovered then dropped down behind a row of buildings.

A few seconds later it shot straight up into the sky and disappeared.

I did snap two pictures of the object on my camera phone.
