Watched stationary object from basement for 10 min. Object looked like white grain of rice. .Went up stairs and got my binoculars and also called to my 16 year old son to look.

As I watched through binoculars the object seemed to open and in the center a purplish pink light appeared.

Then my son took the binoculars outside and he watched for a few seconds, and he said it just shot off very fast.
