| Elliptical flash. At dusk I saw a brief flash low, just above the horizon. It was in the shape of a horizontal ellipse. It was bright silver but did not appear to be an object. It was much larger than the stars appear, roughly a quarter the size of the moon, but I'm not sure of the distance.
