Object flies strait down and turns is lights off.

My friend and I were driving to dinner and we saw something that looked like a fireball falling strait down or of the sky.

We thought it was a meteor until it slowed and two lights appeared as if it had wing lights, like a plane. Then it blinked and disappeared.

Planes don't fly strait down. There was no sound. No boom, and no flash of light or explosion.

It was as if it turned is lights off to avoid being tracked to a landing zone.
