red sphere and a yellowish sphere with light beams going south to north

I noticed a red light coming over the lake,with red light beams coming out of the bottom,it moved from the south to the north,after that light disappeared I looked back to the south and aminute or so later a bright yellowish orange light with light rays came from the same direction and went on the same heading.
