I am not sure how good this report will be, as this sighting happened in 2011. I just found this site and thought this would be a good place to report it.
In early 2011 in Norman, Oklahoma, around midnight to one o’clock a.m., my son and I were up late talking. My chair faced the patio doors, and as it was mild that night the blinds were open. I noticed three lights in the distance, heading in the direction of my neighborhood. Since Norman isn't far from Tinker AFB, I didn't think anything of it. As we talked, over the course of several minutes the lights gradually came closer.
After several minutes, I told my son to come take a look for himself, they were moving really slowly, like a slow moving helicopter. This was the course of about ten minutes. We went outside, as the lights were getting very close, and extremely low. Tree top level. It eventually passed over the house behind us, and over the house. The craft was so low if we had thrown a rock, we could have hit it. It was a huge, triangular shaped object, each point of the triangle was a bright whitish yellow light, the were not blinking, and were slightly rounded over. It appeared black in color.
The craft was about 45 to 50 feet wide, the right corner came directly over the roof of my garage, it made no sound, and caused no breeze as it passed. As we watched the craft pass, I took a photograph of the object with my cell phone, and immediately called Tinker Air Force base to let them know, as it was moving in that general direction. I was asked to describe the object, and then was told nothing was in the area, and they would look into it.
A few minutes later, we saw three fighter jets in the area that broke off and headed in the direction of the craft. No further contact was made.
I posted the picture on my facebook page the next day, and then forgot about it. A few weeks later, I was telling one of our friends about the incident. I looked for the picture on my facebook page, and it was gone. It had also disappeared from my phone. I am currently attempting to recover the photo from old files, as I had loaded it onto my computer, and have since backed up my files several times.
