Three bright green lights that lit up the whole sky and each were about a minute apart and lasting 1 to 2 seconds each

The sky lit up very bright green around 11:00 PM. It happened three times about a minute apart and each one lasted about 1 to 2 seconds each. It was very cloudy but the whole sky lit up. And there was a green glow in the distance but it seems as the glow was coming from the ground.
