4 Orange Lights Illuminating In Succession

At approximately 19:08 hrs on 1/07/2014, I witnessed through my garage door windows 2 bright orange lights about 30 degrees above the western horizon from Vail, AZ. Within a few seconds, 2 more identical orange lights appeared to the right of the first 2 in a very slight downward arc. I couldn't judge distance but it appeared that the lights were possibly 10-15 miles distant. The lights were striking in appearance in that they were bright and didn't conform in nature to anything normally seen with conventional airborne objects. I grabbed a camera close by, opened my garage door and stepped out on my driveway. The lights had disappeared. However, approximately 10 miles to the south of that position, an orange light appeared very low in the sky. It disappeared and reappeared within a few seconds in that location. About 60 seconds later, it appeared about 30 miles NW of that position once again as an orange light near the KITT Peak Observatory area. Within abou! t 5 minutes of my observation, I observed (and heard) 2 USAF jets in the exact same area of my original sighting. The jets circled the city of Tucson from what I could tell for about 10 minutes. There were no further sightings at this point.
