9 orbs observed at New Years in Las Vegas.

My sister and I were out on our families deck for New Years, when at approximately a few minutes past Midnight when the fireworks were going off, we observed 9 orbs floating to the north just above the horizon. The shapes were spread out but formed a diamond shape. From the diamond shape, they shifted into a lopsided square. Two of the orbs at the top of the shape, were really close in proximity. The orbs seemed to be a little misshaped and were slightly discolored (it wasn't clear if they were blinking, or just discolored). Then after about two minutes of observing the orbs, they gradually disappeared; as if they just dimmed their lights until the lights were completely out, a couple orbs at a time. I am in Law Enforcement, and my sister is a student.
