White illuminated disks over east Los Angeles mountains

On the way to work on the 405, 3 large white glowing disks were hanging in the air above the San Bernardino mountains in the east. They were all parallel to one another but at about a 26 degree angle from the horizon.

At first I thought that they maybe vapor trails but they did not change in shape and were self illuminating. When first appearing they seemed closer but then they appeared to be miles away but still in perfect formation.
