Prior to the beginning of the fire works getting started there was a big reddish type of ball floating in the upper sky. It kinda just hung there in the sky floating around - it wasn't a balloon,

i pointed it out to others there must have been a few hundred people there some seen it as we were pointing it out.

It was rather bizarre watching this fire ball just floating and hovering in the upper sky. must have lasted for about 30 minutes then the fire works started and my attention went to the fire works.
