Formation of lights rise and shoot off

When me and a friend was walking through a coutryside backroad one night, we crossed a train line and follwed the road down towards a bridge, when we got to the bridge we noticed some orb like lights follow the train tracks and get so far then stop, one by one quite a few lights did this, stopping behind each other. then rose up slowly, then quickly shot off into the sky and was just gone.

The lights where orange, and this is th eonly time we have noticed them, also in the news paper there was somehting similar after.

This is in the lincolnshire area in the united kingdom.

The courtyside was called little steeping.
