Characteristics: Lights on object

Witnessed soundless orange lights/orbs traveling paralel to the beach but heading a bit east toward the ocean.

They traveled in pairs, the second of the pair was about a football field span behind the leader.

The last one was solo with no companion.

Maybe 2000 feet up but hard to gauge that.

Could be experimental military, or drone or extra-t?
